You should see some of the second dans… Joking aside though, neither great strength nor great fitness are needed for Jitsu. Indeed, one of its biggest principles is of using the opponent’s strength against himself, so if you’re needing to use a lot of strength for a technique, you’re not doing it right! As you train, your strength, flexibility and fitness will improve anyway, usually without your even noticing it.
