I can't speak Japanese

Who can? Some of the accents and pronunciations you’ll hear in Jitsu would baffle the average Japanese (and frequently have). We try our best, but most of the time, we repeat what we heard someone else said. Someone else who didn’t speak Japanese either. You’ll pick up the terminology quite quickly through listening to what other people call things.

Having said that, most people find that their interest in the language grows through Jitsu and if you decide to learn Japanese, your knowledge of the names of all the parts of the body will impress your new teacher.

Where we train

City Jitsu Club trains twice a week near Angel and the Barbican, London, EC1, at City University, Northampton Square, Islington.

Training times
Monday: 7.30pm–9pm
Friday: 7pm–9pm
