Sensei Mat Phillips also runs the Archway Jitsu Club in North London.
“I started Jitsu while at university in Leeds, then moved to London after graduating, joining City as an orange belt. I remember coming away from my first session at university feeling like I had learnt something useful. It didn’t take long before I was hooked!
”I got my brown belt in 2004 and started teaching. It’s a very cool thing being able to pass on my knowledge to others – I find it very fulfilling!“

Friend, thats no ashi guruma I've ever seen. Ashi guruma is foot or ankle wheel. You made contact with your hips/back/shoulder etc. Your throw was a dodgy Seoi nage. Ashi guruma is carried out face to face.

Not in Jitsu. If this were judo, you'd have a point. No Jitsu ashi guruma is done face to face.
