Morote-seoi-nage (two-handed shoulder throw)

| Print this page |

A defence to a combination punch, morote-seoi-nage pins one arm underneath the other using your shoulder and then flips the trapped attacker over your shoulder.

Unloved by Jitsuka because unless you let go of the trapped arm during the throw, it is impossible to breakfall from to minimise the damage.

Full list
Here is a list of most of the techniques you'll need to know for Jitsu and at what level you'll meet them. The list is not completely definitive because modern Judo is creating many more throws, some of which Jitsuka are adapting for their own use.
