Ko-tomoe-seoi-nage (small circle shoulder throw)

A tricky throw for taller Jitsuka, but a gift to smaller Jitsuka. Ko-tomoe-seoi-nage is similar to ippon-seoi-nage except that rather using a grip with both hands on the punching arm, you grab the lapel of the gi with the inner hand then bring your elbow through so that it forms a bar under uke's arm. Using that as a platform - and getting as low as possible - you then pull uke forward and over you.

Here is a list of most of the techniques you'll need to know for Jitsu and at what level you'll meet them. The list is not completely definitive because modern Judo is creating many more throws, some of which Jitsuka are adapting for their own use.
