Harai-maki-komi (sweeping winding throw)

Used in judo as a counter to harai-goshi, it resembles o-soto-maki-komi except requiring far more turn through so you can land on the attacker, not vice versa.

Here is a list of most of the techniques you'll need to know for Jitsu and at what level you'll meet them. The list is not completely definitive because modern Judo is creating many more throws, some of which Jitsuka are adapting for their own use.

Where we train

City Jitsu Club trains twice a week near Angel and the Barbican, London, EC1, at City University, Northampton Square, Islington.

Training times
Monday: 7.30pm–9pm
Friday: 7pm–9pm
