Here is a list of most of the techniques you'll need to know for Jitsu. The list is not completely definitive because modern Judo is creating many more throws, some of which Jitsuka are adapting for their own use. We also borrow from other martial arts if we see something we like.

- De ashi barai (advancing foot sweep) (light blue belt)
- Harai-tsuri-komi-ashi (sweeping, lifting, drawing ankle) (brown belt)
- Okuri-ashi-barai (two feet sweep) (dark blue belt)
- Sasae-tsuri-komi-ashi (propping, lifting drawing ankle) (brown belt)
- Ko-soto-gari (minor outer reap) (yellow belt)
- Ko-uchi-gari (minor inner reap) (orange belt)
- Morote-gari (two-handed reap)

City Jitsu Club trains twice a week near Angel and the Barbican, London, EC1, at City University, Northampton Square, Islington.
