Lock

Locks are a way of using the body's limitation's against itself. Since joints do not have a full range of movement, there comes a point where they cannot bend any more without causing pain. By teaching awareness of these limitations, Jitsu is able to provide an effect means of controlling or incapacitating someone that does not leave them permanently injured.

What you call "Charlie's Angle Throw" is also called "muchi mawari or "akushu nage." It is a mainstay in the arts of Hakkoryu Jujitsu, Shiho Karano Jujitsu and Niho Kempo Jujitsu Ryu.
